Sangeeta solo, just piano and voice, is direct, personal and haunting.
Sangeeta the band, is the fusing of female voice and piano, with the raw energy of bass, guitar and drums. Dorian Hirsch on bass, Kabir Sheikh on guitar and Jorge Feralonzo on drums.
The songs of Sangeeta have a strong emotional, spiritual and cathartic nature. Rolling drums, strong bass lines, melodic piano, atmospheric guitar and commanding and heartfelt vocals… this is one evocative sound. It is thoughtful, sensual, at times primal, and inherently theatrical.
Yes this sure is a rollercoaster ride, from beauty to intensity, transforming evocative themes into an uplifting, triumphant force.

Need convincing? Read the following review from Aaron
Kupferberg’s Powerpopaholic blog:
“Scott writes sweet
melodic piano pop in the tradition of the 60's and 70's with a Tin Pan Alley
touch. The title track is an intro to "This Little Samba" a bossa
nova beat driven tune that recalls those light Burt Bacharach songs with a wry
humor about a wandering mojo. Todd Rundgren fans will surely appreciate the
bouncy "The First Assault Upon My Day" which sounds like it fell off
of Something/Anything. Scott's diverse influences are both immediate and
enjoyable. The wonderful "Real Estate" shows off some excellent
arrangements that recall mid 70's McCartney with true affection. Even with the hilarious ending song
"Start the Day" you can't help think of Brian Wilson in the sandbox
making up the words as he goes along.” (on CD).
