Sans Andy are a synergy of previous bands and experiences, which can be seen through the music played. Back in April 2005 Al Fresco Banks was having many problems with his current band Idle Tuesday resulting in the sacking and subsequent split of the four-piece. At the same time, IT bassist Dan needed a musical genious to work with, becoming sickened with the tiresome four piece. This is when AFB stepped in with his uncensored and raw brand of acoustic pop and heavy guitar led rock to secure Dan's place in rock history.
Similarly, Mr Frisk had been released early from his charges of child molestation and began to drum in a band called Volitera. Realising that AFB was the clear musical genious out of his two projects, he stuck closely to his new musical mentor. Recently other projects have spawned from the volcanic gloop of sans andy in the forms of Joshua Banks, Blood of Ash, Fisty Cuffs and MagRat
