Ami's Interests
|
| General | 1- Writing. Poetry, stories, articles, fanfiction... you name it, I probably write it. (Yes, that includes erotica. Bad me.)
2- Religion. I'm fascinated by it. I love to sit around and have theological discussions with people who will respect my views. I always respect theirs.
3- Music. Any and all music. I couldn't live without it.
4- Languages. I can read English, Spanish, French, Italian, and some Latin. I speak English (obviously), American Sign Language, some Spanish, and a little French. I'm currently trying to learn Japanese and German.
5- Video games. I've been playing them since I was two years old, and I tend to be somewhat loyal to Nintendo, though I recently got a PS2. Tales of Symphonia is the best game ever, just in case anyone was wondering. I also like Diablo II and The Sims 2 for PC, Baten Kaitos for GameCube, and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones for GBA, plus all the classic games... Super Mario Brothers, Asteroids, Duck Hunt, Sonic the Hedgehog, etc.
6- Theatre. I love acting, though I have also done technical work, makeup, and asistant directing.
7- Dancing. I take tap, and I'm also fond of turning up music very loudly and dancing around in my underwear. I used to take ballet also, and I still enjoy it.
8- Anime. My favorites are Fruits Basket, Shaman King, Kyou Kara Maou, and DNAngel. I have been to three conventions now: Sugoicon 2005, Ohayocon 2006, and OMG!con 2006.
9- Role-playing. RPGs are wonderful. I'm especially fond of LARPing via instant messenger and message-board based RPs, though cosplay and D&D are admittedly cool. (In that geek-chic kind of way.) | | Music | I love just about any kind of music. The genres I currently listen to most often are: Broadway soundtracks/musicals, classic rock, comedy, country, and Latin. I also like alternative, classical, J-pop, modern rock, pop, and punk. | | Movies | My favorite movie of all time is The Lion King. I also like the original Star Wars trilogy, The Princess Bride, Die Hard with a Vengeance, The Butterfly Effect, and just about any classic horror film. | | Television | I don't watch a lot of TV. Actually, I mostly watch it when somebody IMs me and says, "Hey. Turn on Cartoon Network RIGHT NOW." And when that happens, it's almost always an episode of Futurama or Family Guy, or occasionally that show about the kid and his imaginary friends. I do watch Crossing Jordan religiously every Sunday night, though, if it's not a rerun, and I usually watch Medium on Monday nights. And I watch Whose Line Is It, Anyway? with my dad sometimes. My favorite show ever was Farscape, but it's not on anymore. *tear* And I used to like Stargate SG-1 a lot, but I just haven't been able to watch it since Col. O'Neill left. | | Books | I enjoy the "Harry Potter" series, the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, genre fiction, and various religious texts. The last book I read was PS. Your Cat is Dead. | | Heroes | My grandfather. |

Who I'd like to meet:
Someone who can hold their breath longer than two minutes, because that's a really cool ability, or maybe someone who can sing native American tribal chants backward through her Vocoder while accompanying herself on the electric cello, which she has never studied.
