.. "One doesn't normally go down to the basement for fresh air. On the other hand, going down to the Sirály and hearing a band like Santa Diver is a different story. Jazz violinist Luca Kézdy has made a name with the Freestyle Chamber Orchestra and Nigun; [film score] composer, pianist, and bassist Dávid Szesztay is a core member of Budbudas and Kamu, among others; and you may have seen András Halmos with János Vázsonyi or Hamid Drake. These three young, energetic, and creative musicians face together the great freedom that comes with familiarity with an array of styles; and they don't flinch, they work wonders." Fidelio Súgó "... Santa Diver (a name derived from a Japanese, scuba-version of Kris Kringle) is one of the most promising music acts in Budapest: its technoid musical approach and beat combined with melodies inspired by different folk musics and jazz create what is not just beautiful music, but something very apt for the turn of the century." Sirály blogspot (http://siraly50.blogspot.com/2008/12/santa-diver.html) Sending Ovation is daring and inspired music free of over-working and pretension; graceful grooves, that sometimes cut, sometimes caress; where heart-wrenching, where a muscle massage, music performed with just the necessary depth. A beautiful, strong, pure, free-spirited production that tries neither to prove itself, nor to show off. Népszabadság Magazin The band is influenced by the minimalism of techno, the trans experience and perpetual energy of Moroccan gnawa, and the freedom of jazz, as well as the beauty and sensitivity of music unafraid of being more chimeric. They have been performing since October of 2006 at places like: the Mediawave festival, the Ultrahang Fesztivál, the Hídünnep [Budapest's Bridge Celebration]; the Ost-klub in Vienna; the Hungarian Culture Centre in Paris and Brussels, the Gödör, Trafó, Millenáris, A38, and the French Institute in Budapest, among others, often inviting soloists like Erik Truffaz, Laurent Blondieu, Lőrinc Barabás, János Vázsonyi, Péter Bede and Márton Fenyvesi. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .......... ...... ..........
