Keeping kids off the streets by providing a structered playtime and creative environment. Providing positive emotional support for children who are subject to abuse and violence. Doing my part to help.
About me: I teach English as a Second Language (ESL). I love to travel and found myself falling in love with Bahia. I go for a few weeks during my vacation time and stay with hosts in the city of Salvador. I visit the community of Santa Luzia and organize games and activities for the kids there (soccer, origami, etc.), and teach English.
I am working on ways to help get the adults there employment.
Who I'd like to meet: People who want to go experience the world. People who are looking for a way to make a difference. Teachers, coaches, businessmen and women looking for an alternative vacation, college students, someone who knows about sustainable living.
