"Magical as a new world, subtle and delicate in every shade, melancholic and lively, Latorre can be considered a revelation." All about jazz - Italy
"A mix of elegant jazz and gentle electrónica, Órbita is ostensibly inspired by the planets rotation and the unavoidable progress of time. […] A warm, optimistic hymn to experience." Plan B Magazine - UK
"...an album with a strong and diffused presence, so strong in taste that sometimes it could even be nauseating, which comes and goes in space like waves of fog, something very old and at the same time very new...an object that is finally found after much pursuit in an antique shop, which bawakens other echoes when brought into the house." - Noel Tachet, Improjazz

Órbita is about turning and evolving, always the same journey but constantly changing, getting older, slowly dying. As a planet that goes around the sun, each track comes back to the same place a number of times. But everytime, something has happened, a year has passed.
Santiago Latorre is a musician and sound engineer who lives and works in Barcelona.
At the age of 11 he begins to play sax and a few years later, he starts Electronic Engineering. These two parallel interests took him to develop his “Sonification of the Human Genome”, the project that marks the beginning of Santiago’s fascination with musical experimentation and new sounds.
He has since composed music for dance, theatre, fashion and videoart projects. It’s worth mentioning the theatre play “Radio-Patera o la Síndrome d’Ulysses”, the video projects carried out with Ivonne Dippmann – “Fünf” (MID-E, San Sebastian 2004), “On the terrace” (Barcelona 2005) and “Sobrevive” (Berlin 2006) – and “PIEL”, a contemporary dance piece that is still under development.
In 2005 he starts working in his personal project through several performances in festivals and clubs around Barcelona (LEM07, Heliogabal, Miscelanea, Comuna de l’art, Sodabeat05…). He becomes the house engineer of Grabaciones Silvestres, one of the leading recording studios in Spain. There he records “Órbita”, his debut album, not yet released.
