About me:

Send me an IM! I think I am a fairly normal young woman who can laugh and cry like most people, however... In January 2003, I was skiing with my b/f on the slopes above Innsbruck, Austria, and I really still don't know what happened. It was a great day: sunny, not too cold, with good firm crisp snow. The skiing had been great but then I was looking at the sky. I'd broken T5-7 (that's roughly mid-chest if your anatomy isn't good. I was paralyzed from my lower chest. I still only have 60% lung function and pick-up colds, flu and serious chest infections 4 or 5 times a year. Having to be hospitalized to have junk suctioned from the lower lung lobes is a disgusting procedure but it's the only way to clear the fluid sometimes. My shity b/f dumped me 8 days after my accident. He didn't want disabled baggage. In other words he was a BASTARD. Thankfully I've got my eyepatch off now and after over a year of wheeling into walls and door frames with monocular vision there is no startling good news to report.

Who I'd like to meet:

Disabled people and anybody seriously interested in disability. I'm very concerned that the disabled are marginalized by governments, employers and society in general even where disability disrimination laws are in force. If we (the disabled) all unite with a single voice more would be done to support us. I'm not advocating a revolution just the natural justice we deserve

Hey Sara! I saw that you were on and wanted to say hello before I go to bed finally. I'm exhausted! It is 4:53 a.m. my time and I figure it was sometime mid afternoon your time. I was struggling with my computer. This website's kept giving me an error page. It was making me frustrated because I just wanted to finish up with my online job application. I guess this program expects fast two hand typers and that's not me. The most I can type is 50 words a minute which is the max. Hope that you have a wonderful day! Take it easy! I will talk to you later! Please pray for me that my appointment with my surgeon will go well tommorow. Talk to you soon!

I wish that I was able to come with my Dad to England and Germany last week and the week before for his job because then we could possibly have the opportunity to meet. That would be great!

Hey Sara! How are you? Hope all is well! How is your leg? I'm so sorry that I haven't sent a message in a while. My externship is keeping me busy and I am really tired afterwards. Everything has gone so well that I am feeling out an application for what I am studying/medical billing and coding and patient registration. Everyone is so friendly and professional that I feel like I have been working there for a long time. :)I'm doing my externship at the hospital where are all my doctors are. The hospital is a minute away and you can see out of our windows. My family and I moved close to the hospital because of the beautiful area and my disease since I'm always in the hospital. It's just so convenient! Alright, I need to go to bed because my Cousin and I are getting up to go to Target and lunch. Have a wonderful week! Natasha

Hey Sara! How are you? Hope all is well! I wanted to talk to you about my doctor's appointment whenever you have a chance. I will probably be starting my externship in two weeks. I only have fifty hours to complete and then I can find a job in medical billing and coding. I'm so excited to be done! As you know hospital visits can definitely get in the way of things you want to achieve like my externship. Anyway, hope that you have a wonderful weekend! Can't wait to talk to you again! Natasha

    Valentines Myspace Layouts
Hey Sara! Happy Valentines Day to you also! I don't have a lovey like you, so I am just hanging out with my siblings and cousin. I feel like crap, but I won't let that get me down. Don't worry about my doctor's appointment, I am a pro at staying calm and not freaking out. I've gone to so many doctor's appointments just like you. I have to go every week to at least one or two. Anyway, do you have any plans for tonight? Hope that you have a wonderful weekend! Tootles! Natasha
