The nickel today is not what it was fifteen years ago. Do you know what this country needs today?...A seven-cent nickel. Yessiree, we've been using the five-cent nickel in this country since 1492. Now that's pretty near a hundred years' daylight saving. Now, why not give the seven-cent nickel a chance? If that works out, next year we could have an eight-cent nickel. Think what that would mean. You could go to a newsstand, buy a three-cent newspaper and get the same nickel back again. One nickel carefully used would last a family a lifetime!
Thanks for coming by The Blarney last night. You are really talented, and just a lot of fun to hang out with. I had a good time last night, and you were a big part of it.
Hey, would you be interested playing in a show for women's music? I was thinking of putting together a show and you are awesome :) You probably don't remember me but we've met at Midtown.
The THRILL KILL KULT's wise adage "Glamour Is A Rocky Road" certainly applies to the extremely tumultuous life of one Evel Knievel. Despite his fame, Evel's life was one of far more disappointments and heartbreaks than it was of high points. It truly was a "rocky road" living the excruciatingly painful life that was Evel Knievel. Evel was the most influential pioneer of daredevil culture. Evel was a showman who always put his fans first, even before his own health and wellbeing. That's the kind of performer Evel Knievel was.
History will prove to be both fond and forgiving of Evel Knievel. Evel is a legend who is so much more than just an image on a lunch box you see for sale on an Ebay auction. Evel will never be replaced or duplicated. He was one of a kind. If any one man who ever died truly deserves the right to finally be able to "REST IN PEACE", Evel Knievel is THAT man.
