One can’t help but want to sing along to songs as playful and refreshing as Sara Dell’s. The substance of her music rings of John Mayer and Sheryl Crow, marrying hopeful yet sober lyrics with irresistibly catchy melodies.
Behind the music is an diversely talented young woman who plays, sings, writes, co-arranges and records the music from the ground up. Having begun her study of piano in early childhood, Sara started singing and performing in her teens and has made a living as a musician since then. She naturally gravitated toward writing pop/rock music at an early age, inspired by everything from the Beatles to the Police to Carole King to Peter Gabriel, and has independently cut three EPs in the past four years.
Sara is based out of Toronto, Canada where she performs regularly, both solo and with bands, writes, records and collaborates with other songwriters.
Sara is grateful to the following people for their efforts and artistry in the making of the 2007 EP "Where You're Going" and the 2008 EP "Lovely Day":
JOHN PELOSI (guitars, co-writer/producer/arranger)
TOBIAS SMITH (drums)
ALEX ST. KITTS (bass)
STEVE MAJOR of Wellesley Sound Studios (mixing and mastering).
Nawlins was a great suggestion! Thanks! Had fun, drank too much and as a result hit send on emails I probably shouldn't have. Only wish I could have stayed longer.
Hi Sara! Thanks for the add! My friends and I saw you perform at The Rex last Friday night, and we had a great time! The variety in song choices you played was fantastic! We are planning another trip up to Toronto soon. Thanks so much for an amazing show, and keep up the great work! :)
