BooksYes, I like them - as long as they're in good taste, that is. :)
HeroesI tend to be more impressed by morally outstanding people than political, military or artistic 'heroes,' but really I'm not that prone to hero worship in general. Seems like idolatry to me, a lot of the time.

About me:
I've got a reputation as a quiet one, but that doesn't mean I don't like people. It's more that I just don't like talking before I understand what's going on.

Sometimes I feel like a bit of an alien. People find some of my actions hard to understand. I always mean well though, and don't like hurting people.

Religion is a big part of my life. Some people think it makes me a little naive, and maybe they're right, but I've also traveled a lot and seen a lot, so I don't think I'm really the small-town preacher's-boy type that I'm sometimes taken as.
Who I'd like to meet:
Meeting and observing people in general interests me a great deal, so odds are good that I wouldn't mind meeting you regardless of who you are. :)

II Corinthians 4:13-18

13 But we continue to preach because we have the same kind of faith the psalmist had when he said, "I believed in God, and so I speak."

14 We know that the same God who raised our Lord Jesus will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself along with you.

15 All of these things are for your benefit. And as Gods grace brings more and more people to Christ, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.

16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.

17 For our present troubles are quite small and wont last very long. Yet they produce for us an immeasurably great glory that will last forever!

18 So we dont look at the troubles we can see right now; rather, we look forward to what we have not yet seen. For the troubles we see will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever.
