About me: Welcome to my info page!
I am a writer of young adult fiction. Head Case (Roaring Brook Press, Sept 07) is my first novel. It is about seventeen-year-old Frank, who sustains a complete spinal cord injury following a car accident. He was driving. Two people were killed. I wanted to explore a character who felt trapped and labeled, a character who needed to rise above society’s judgments, forgive himself, and move beyond his mistakes.
I hold an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College. I used to be a physical therapist. Currently I work in the sales department for Jewish Lights Publishing. I live in New England. I really miss being in Manhattan!
I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
Who I'd like to meet: Other readers and writers, librarians, booksellers, and teachers--anyone who likes to talk books, craft, and the process! I would also like to meet people who are motivated to advocate for people with disabilities.
