The hat that Ducky wears in Pretty in Pink. Vinyl. The 60's, once again. Helping make good bands get famous. Playing good music people can't help but keep dancing to all night long. And so on. | | Music | I like tons of music. Indie, electro, punk, funk, psychedelic, garage rock, freakbeat, soul, early blues... I love Little Steven's Underground Garage on Sunday nights. Great radio show.
What I've been listening to most the last little while... Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, The Duke, Left Banke, Sagittarius, bands that help me feel like I'm somewhere else, Mothers of Invention, Boston (I seriously adore Boston), The Delgados, The Millenium, Rhino compilation boxsets, loads & loads & loads of various 60's garage rock/freakbeat/psych/soul/etc. that I can't be bothered to name, Klaxons, !!!, whatever, and so on.
| | Movies | American Graffiti, The Departed, Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium (despite the reviews, I adored it) stuff by John Hughes and Wes Anderson...
Some favorites... All Muppets movies, High Fidelity, Superman, Ghostbusters, V for Vendetta, Down Periscope, Sleepless in Seattle, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Gidget, Hook, loads. | | Television | Hmm... Boston Legal, That 70s Show, The Cosby Show, The Office (UK and USA), Mythbusters, Alan Partridge, SNL. I love the History Channel, too. But I hate it when they have something on that's not really history. | | Books | Mid-century Modern: Interiors, Furniture, Design Details. Not exactly a novel, but it's what interests me. | | Heroes | My parents. And people who fit the "heroin chic" category, without actually taking the smack. |

About me:
I'm Sarah. I'm a girl. I DJ. I've been in the same place too long and it's time to move.
I adore music. It's my job, my hobby...I just love it.
I'm too much of a hippie to be a proper indie-trendy.
I prefer vinyl to CDs but it's just not convenient enough.
I adore fashion and have fantastic taste, the problem being that my taste will not work very well on myself until I shrink more. Here's to another new year's resolution...
My favorite toy in the world is those paddle ball thingies, with the ball on the stretchy string and the paddle, and you hit it and it bounces back. They're fantastic.
I like being goofy. Goofy is good.
I like people. I like to listen.
I like to talk a lot, too, though.
I am cool.
