I've been singing all my life, actually I did my first performance at the age of 3. I picked up the guitar for the first time when I was 14 and it wasn't long after I wrote my first song. When I was 17 I started making a living playing around bars and weddings down in sunny Marlborough (my hometown). I came up to Auckland in 2001 to do the York St acid test, which I made the top 6. This proved to be a valuable experience as I found my wonderful manager and very entertaining friend Grant Hislop. I also entered the Ovation Rockshop songwriter of the year award which I came first place in. I couldn't have been much happier about that one as I won my very own Ovation guitar. Since then I've been living in Auckland, gigging around, writing songs and meeting all kinds of wonderful people. This year, the craziest year I've had yet, has been spent recording my own album produced by the talented Fisher brothers of Goodshirt. My whole life has been leading up to doing this, and I feel like the luckiest girl around to have been given such an opportunity. Rhythm section (on most songs) provided by the amazing Mike Hall and Michael Franklin Browne of Pluto. Rio from Trinity Roots played bass on a couple of tracks, as did my good friend Vanessa, all of which are truly talented and inspiring people:) So, now "Hands" has gone to radio and my video is playing on Juice and C4. Watch this space.

Hey Sarah, we used to talk a bit a few months back, but in one of those typical (of me) "I hate the internet" phases I deleted my myspace and subsequently lost contact with a lot of cool people, yourself included. So forgive me and...Hi!
Omgosh! It's THE Sarah Brown! Thank you so much for the add. I just wanted to comend you on the awesome talent, dude. The first time I saw you was in your video for the track "Hands" and I gotta say...You make a GREAT Marrionette doll (Or however you spell it, lol) Quick Question, where can I buy/Download the track "Hands" I swear, me and my mates have been hunting for it everywhere. I saw your album in a store once, but I did'nt have enough "Doh" on me at the time to make the Purchase...(Yes...shame on me!) But now when I go to ask, No one ever has it...Geesh.
Anywho, once again...AMAZING TALENT! Love your stuff, and keep doing it!
