About Sarah Chesler

“Sarah’s music speaks to all ages. The Swedish dialect influences her English vocals and makes them something unique that will reach into Your heart and definitely warms Your soul!” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Born and raised in Sweden but for the last decade an American resident, Sarah Chesler writes songs in both English and Swedish. With dad (a minister) and mom (a music teacher) and three tuneful siblings, Sarah grew up surrounded by music and started writing songs at the age of twelve. Over the years she has performed in many venues, both as a solo artist, but also with numerous bands, and she has lent her voice to many studio recordings. She’s taken those influences with her, mixed them up and found her own truly unique and inspiring style. Her guitar playing is playful and rhythmical and on the piano she can tickle the ivories with sweet love songs straight from and to the heart. Sarah performs frequently in Europe and America, and has recently become a regular in the Greenwich Village music scene at such legendary venues as The Bitter End, Caffe Vivaldi and Googies Lounge. She is also a favorite in her adopted hometown of Norwalk, CT at Bistro Du Soleil, various school and church fundraisers and most recently at the AARP. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RECENT PRESS: In February 2008 Sarah was part of two, big, sold-out Bob Dylan tribute shows in her Swedish hometown of Hässleholm, where she got rave revues as one of the events’ highlights:------- “The musical guest who traveled the furthest was Sarah Chesler, who came all the way from the USA to interpret Dylan her way. Miss Chesler provided the evening’s most heartfelt moment when she, alone on the piano, delivered “Ring Them Bells”.
