Okay, so here's the thing: I'm really indecisive. And it seems like this profile is, like, all about naming specific things. So I'm getting all High Fidelity about it, worried the minute I finish I'll think of ten others and then I'll have to go back to edit, and then edit again, and the next thing you know I won't do anything but tinker with it all day long and my career, such as it is, will end.
So what can I say? I love to read (a requisite for a writer) and spend entirely too much time on the internet (see above). I watch a lot of television, a fact I used to be ashamed of, and now, not so much.
This fall, it will be ten years since my first book came out, a fact that officially blows my mind. A couple of years back, two of my novels were made into a movie called How to Deal. Right now, I'm waiting for my seventh book, Just Listen,, to come out in April.
Writing is honestly the only thing I've ever been able to say with any certainty that I do well. I am fair to middling at just about everything else, including but not limited to: cooking, cleaning (okay, less than middling on that one), discussing politics, balancing my checkbook and any and all sports. But if you want someone to quickly summarize this season of Gilmore Girls WHILE making deviled eggs, I am your girl.

I have read all of your books, and I am working on Lock and Key right now. I should be done this weekend. When are you going to be putting out another book?? I have nothing else to read when you do not have anything out there for me.

You are absolutely my favorite author. I read This Lullaby and fell in love. I made my best friend read it and she fell in love too. Since then we've both read all of your books and just finished Lock and Key. The moment i heard it was in the stores i went and got it. It was amazing. I loved Ruby's character and I could relate to a lot of the issues she had with Nate. Anyway, great work! And I know you're enjoying your lazy summer as we all are...but hurry up and write another one!! :D

so over the weekend I bought JUST LISTEN and I finished reading it.Its no surprise that I loved it.I really loved the fact that you had a cameo with Dexter and Remy.I thought that was awesome. It brought back memories.I can't wait to read LOCK AND KEY.
So far i read The truth about forever and this lullaby. I am reading lock and key right now an I just want to tell you that you are a very talented writer. The next book I will read is Just listen. Your stories are great and i finish them in about 4 days. Hallelujah for an author like you!!!
Hey, you are by far my most favorite author!! I own all of your books! My favorites are definitely The Truth about Forever and Just Listen. But, anyway, you are an amazing author and all your novels are so easy to relate to and I can't even express how amazing the depth is to them. Thanks sooo much for all the great work!!!
I read Lock and Key and I loved it! I am going to suggest it as the next book that my book club reads. I think the messages in your books are important for everyone to know. Keep up the Great Work!
i'm in the middle of reading lock and key right now and i love it, i can't seem to put it down. i just wanted to tell you how absolutely amazing all of your books are. i love that i feel like i KNOW the character and i want things to work out for them by the end of the book. it's nice that i can relate to them and i think that shows how great of an author you are. the truth about forever and this lullaby are tied for my favorite, but i can't wait to finish lock and key and i can't wait for you to publish more! keep up the good work (:

I just finished reading your book Someone Like You a few days ago. It was the best book i ever read in my life. Actually i think it was the only book i read in my life that i liked so much! Once i read a few pages of your book, i could not put it down! You sparked my interest in reading and now i want to read all your books. I went to the book store and got Just Listen and i cant wait to read that. Never stop writing because you and your books are amazing! Thankyou so much!
