My name is Sarah Dickson and I’m a singer/songwriter originally from the southwest of England, but I'm currently a bit nomadic.
The songs on the player are preview tracks from the album I’m currently recording. My EP “Six Songs”, is available to download from all good download stores (eg. itunes etc) and the CD is available from my website (which also has some samples of the songs on it).
I will be changing the preview tracks frequently, so make sure you pop back to have a listen!
I hope you enjoy my page!
Sarah
P.s Below is some info on me if you fancy knowing more!
Sarah is a Singer/Songwriter who has received praise from several BBC websites and radio stations around Great Britain for her “haunting vocal” quality and her “insightful, vulnerable and most importantly, believable” lyrics (Will Walder, BBC).
“If you get the chance to see her then I’d grab it with both hands”.
While studying Music at university, Sarah was a finalist in the Musicians Benevolent Fund (MBF) Award for Song (2004), and shortly before graduating with a first class degree, independently released her first EP "Six Songs" (2005). This was followed with a radio live-session tour, in which Phill Jupitus described her as “the best voice [he’d] heard all year”. In 2008, Sarah was a finalist in the BBC New Talent Songwriting Competition.
Sarah regularly plays gigs across the country. She has been featured at a number of festivals and is currently working on her debut album.
