My name is Sarah Dickson and I’m a singer/songwriter from the southwest of England, but I live in Liverpool at the moment.
The songs on the player are preview tracks from the album I’m currently recording. My EP “Six Songs”, is available to download from all good download stores (eg. itunes etc) and the CD is available from my website (which also has some samples of the songs on it).
I will be changing the preview tracks frequently, so make sure you pop back to have a listen!
I hope you enjoy my page!
Sarah
P.s Below is some info on me if you fancy knowing more!
Sarah is a Singer/Songwriter who has received praise from several BBC websites and radio stations around Great Britain for her “haunting vocal” quality and her “insightful, vulnerable and most importantly, believable” lyrics (Will Walder, BBC).
“If you get the chance to see her then I’d grab it with both hands”.
While studying Music at university, Sarah was a finalist in the Muscicians Benevolent Fund (MBF) Award for Song (2004), and shortly before graduating with a first class degree, independently released her first EP "Six Songs".
Sarah frequently plays at venues in the north-west and is a regular on the thriving Liverpool acoustic scene. Sarah has also played live sessions for BBC and independent radio stations. Phil Jupitus (BBC GMR) described her as "the best voice [he'd] heard all year".
The summer of 2006 saw the formation of the Sarah Dickson Trio and a tour of music festivals across the UK. Through 2007 Sarah has continued to gig with the trio and has embarked upon the recording of her debut album and is currently looking for management.
"...sublimely rendered acoustica...soulfood"
Lucie Davies, Metro
"Smooth and smokey vocal gorgeousness!"
Solfest (Solway Folk Festival)

Well thanks. Do you mean that picture with my friend the clown? He's bald as a coot now, but it seems cruel to label the photo as such. It was many years ago.
By the way, I truly love your voice and your songwriting. You don't sing with an American accent and so you will hold a place in my heart for that.
thank you so much for the add and the kind comment. It means alot to me . i listen to your tracks quite often and am azed by their range and oh so delicate style. kind thoughts, Chris
