Born and raised in Houston, Texas, twenty-two year old Sarah Golden, the youngest of three, grew up in a family surrounded by music. Her brother currently plays the lap steel guitar and many other instruments in a Cajun/Zydeco roots band from Louisiana named The Bluerunners and in the Houston based country and western band Sean Reefer and the Resin Valley Boys. Her mother was in the Houston Symphony Choral and a church choir director, involving all of the family. Sarah began singing in church and joined school choirs and competitions. She is basically a self taught guitarist who is enjoying her current accomplishments and looking forward to learning and improving her skills. Her songwriting goal is to be able to express her thoughts and emotions with her music. She has joyously discovered that through her lyrics and music other people can identify with her feelings. She is very new to the entertainment scene, and wants to continue writing songs, reaching as many people as possible, and staying focused on her career.
Past performances include the Houston Women's Festival, Anderson Fair, Hard Rock Cafe [Austin], The Next Door Coffeehouse Songwriter Competition, and has played venues such as , the Travis Cafe, Shakespeare's Coffeehouse, Last Concert Cafe, The Next Door Coffeehouse, Sidecar Pub, Heliotrope, Chances, Dan Electros Guitar Bar, and many others. She is grateful for every opportunity to perform and gain experience, and thankful to her many fans and supporters.

This specially compiled 4 CD Box Set from Time Life features the best Folk Rock songs from the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s! Includes 71 Songs That Defined An Era and Influenced Generations... In Stores September 11
Not just another genre, folk rock was born as a statement—of purpose, of taste, of superiority—the baby boom’s first imprimatur, a musical mission and a personal battle cry in a divisive time of racial tension and escalating war. For a generation of philosopher dropouts and drug-inspired visionaries, it was also the best way to partake in the era’s hippest form of artistic expression, in numbers previously unknown to man.
Hi Sarah! We're looking forward to the show on July 14th at SRO NW Mall. You'll be sharing the stage with Selia Qynn, Connie Mims, Kimberly M'Carver & Carrie Ann Buchanan. For more information, please visit www.texassongwriterslive.com

I bet you're still singing at Anderson Fair as I type, but just wanted to tell you again that it was great seeing you. Your voice sounded better than ever.
What was the name of that song you played, I think it was the 2nd you did, about a war? Was that a new one? I liked it.
