I am just as confused as the next girl. I am pretty much stumbling into life, trying to trust more than me, just showing up on a daily basis. Yay!
Things I am sure of: God; the awesomeness of my kids and hubby; coffee and poetry as the salvation of the artist's mind; the healing power of pen on paper.
Things I am not sure of: what I will be when I grow up; if I will ever grow up.
Things I admire: good music, great writing, poets, the honesty of Sylvia Plath, the genius of the Outsider artists; Christian mystics and iconography; old hymns; my kid's imaginations; snow.
Things that freak me out: accordions, cigar smoke, flies, onions, football.
I am grateful everyday for this life as wife, mom, sister, daughter, friend, singer, songwriter, traveller.
