Sarah Leanne Palmer, originally from Cambridge is a ballsy singer songwriter with a lot to say. Her lyrics are filled with attitude and her voice filled with conviction...............
'As soon as one is confronted with a female led rock band, inevitable clichéd comparisons with PJ Harvey or Skunk Anansie are trotted out as if that's all they can aspire to be. Well Sarah Leanne Palmer seems to aspire to more than that. Of course there is a nod to these talented comrades but Sarah reminds me more of a tripped out Led Zepelin or a rocked up Doors: searing and spiralling vocals amid a twist of electric guitar and bass, driven along by pounding drums like Keith Moon with ovaries. And Sarah herself played drums with bare feet last time I saw her. ‘Skin’ eat your heart out.'
