Sarah’s voice lures you into thinking bits of heaven might be here already.--David Crowder Some of you just might remember Chasing Furies, a band that made waves for their progressive sound with their 1999 debut, With Abandon. Then, as quick as they came, they were nowhere to be seen and lead singer Sarah MacIntosh seemed to vanish off of the radar. Now eight years later, MacIntosh emerges with a new album and sound that is every bit as impressive as the first time we heard her.--Matt Conner INFUZE Magazine The return of Sarah MacIntosh bodes well for an industry in need of fresh expressions. Welcome back, Sarah. --CMCentral.com (4 stars)...a terrific alternative pop/rock atmosphere rivaling the best that today’s modern worship has to offer....stunning vocals and a well-crafted alternative sound characterize this impressive return from the lead singer of Chasing Furies. --ChristianMusicToday.com As both artistic expression and an act of reverence, The Waiters...has been worth waiting for. --iTunes ...[MacIntosh] invests each song with intensity and emotion. Sounds Like
If you could hear my mother sing you would know how I came to sound like I do. My voice is most definitely hers. The music on the other hand might be described as Radiohead meets Sixpence None The Richer after listening to a bunch of Peter Gabriel.
I am Sarah MacIntosh, formerly the lead singer for a band called Chasing Furies. After some life changes, state changes, and focus changes I am finally coming out with a new cd. This is my solo cd. My first of all original songs. These songs have been bubbling up inside for quite some time now and will burst out later this year on this currently untitled cd. Recently there have been towering highs and plummeting lows in my life all which have been carefully guarded by my Savior, Jesus. It is these things that have been written about on scraps of paper, tattered journals, and my faithful mac laptop. These words jotted down have swirled around in my head until they have finally come out of my mouth in melody. Melody and words have joined together and are now being carefully placed and suspended in time on tracks that will eventually be my cd. I will crack the door so that you can see... here and there...in a plane...in a hotel...
Sarah, I'm so excited to see you have a new album. Chasing furies is, to this day, my all time favorite album. I have it listed as a musical influence. I used to have 2 copies of it. One for the car and one for my house. I have it on my I pod still, and listen to it all the time. Can't wait to get your new one.
Becky.
