I like Neil Gaiman a lot, too, especially American Gods and Neverwhere. 1000 Years of Solitude, 1984, Better Than Sex by Hunter S. Thompson, All of Arthur C. Clarke's books, The Life and Times of Rembrandt van Rijn by Henrick von Loon, and Mark Pritchard for my naughtie bits ;P Most of the books I read can be put into four categories: Politics, Fantasy, late 19th Century British literature, or Science Fiction.
