• THE GUARDIAN: ‘Nicolls brings a rare and radiant commitment to her focus on contemporary repertoire.’
• ‘Nicolls’s performance seemed a model of clarity and accuracy. There was a certainty about every gesture, a cool precision even when the music was at its most explosive’
• THE TIMES: ‘Sarah Nicolls is a wonderful inspiration for and champion of new music. She has a rare ability to close-focus on the minutest depths and shadings of piano tone while revealing a long-sighted intellectual grasp of the writing’
• THE TELEGRAPH: ‘technical skill was matched by emotional temperament’

wow. thanks for telling me about felix's machines. that guy is a madman.... totally insane. i'll definitely let you know what happens with my player piano (i usually make my own piano rolls out of tinfoil and cut up segments of other classical songs put into the machine backwards and upside down). do you ever bow the piano wire? i've found that if you use a broken piece of piano wire (or even the hairs from a broken bow) and thread it in behind a couple of the strings, you can pull it back and forth and it can make some beautiful sounds- depending on which two notes you feed it in behind, you can create some beautiful harmonies. i've watched a bunch more of your videos on youtube too. they're all so good. keep up the amazing work. -johnny
The phenomenon is tunable in that the characteristic sounds and intensities of those sounds depend on the characteristics of the RF energy as delivered... Because the frequency of the sound heard is dependent on the pulse characteristics of the RF energy, it seems possible that this technology could be developed to the point where words could be transmitted to be heard like the spoken word, except that it could only be heard within a person..s head. In one experiment, communication of the words from one to ten using ..speech modulated.. microwave energy was successfully demonstrated. Microphones next to the person experiencing the voice could not pick up these sounds
