It's all happening!!! Lately, I have been splitting my time between my hometown, Saint Louis, MO and my homies town, New York, NY. STL is cheap and NYC is exciting. So I like to have a little of both during this recession, if you know what I mean. I love being from the midwest.
The people there are genuine, friendly, and know how to have a good time despite not actually having a lot to do! I've traveled a lot and feel extremely grateful for this. However, my thirst to see the world has not yet been quenched. Spending 21 years in the Midwest certainly warrants 21 years elsewhere. Right? I get claustrophobic. Perhaps I'm always looking for a place to belong. Perhaps that place for me is music. If I can't find a song to console me, I write one for myself. Or I go somewhere.
A true wanderer. So I travel. I perform in musicals. I write. I practice yoga. I care about the environment. I care about people. I dream big. I learn something new about this mysterious life everyday. But what matters the most to me is music. Songwriting is my way of combining everything I love. My way of saying what I need to say.
