Sara Horvath is a Singer/Songwriter/Artist from Montana. She currently resides in Nashville TN where the music business thrives! She has traveled all over the world, and seen many beautiful places and people. She is happiest with nothing but a guitar on her back and a smile to carry her along so she can follow wherever the wind takes her. She will always be a Montana girl with the river in her heart and a song in her head. Horvath is extremely grateful for all that she has been able to experience and she knows that there is more great times to come... “For all that I have, I thank my family and those who have inspired me in only ways that a melody can describe.”
Her favorite musician is Sarah Mclachlan whose voice has carried her through tough times. She hopes to do the same for others someday. Sara has sung since she was a little girl. She has been in choir every year since pre-school, and she has had the privilege of singing with Kenny Chesney, Craig Martin (one of Tim McGraw's songwriters), the Chamber Choir at the University of Montana, and The Sweet Adeline’s International chapter in Missoula. Sara Horvath has attended several choir camps, participated in voice lessons ( taught by Martina McBride's voice teacher), and has been in performances at the Firehouse Five Theater in Montana. She has played guitar for nine years, and piano for four. Miss Horvath is currently putting together a band to compliment her acoustic/alternative/country/folk style.
Horvath performs every chance she gets, and she is available for booking, events, live shows, and co-songwriting. She has performed with Kenny Chesney at Sturgis for a crowd of 42,000. She recently played at Bonaroo 2009 where headliners included Phish, Bruce Springstein, Ben Harper, Bela Feck, and hundreds more amazing bands. She has also performed at Universities where she plans to do a college tour in the spring and is currently booking for this. Please contact her if you would like her to come to your school! She has performed at three peace rallies, two Global Warming Awareness Benefit Concerts, a Suicide Prevention and Awareness Event, the Garden City Car Show, Love Your Mother Earth Festival, Finn and Porter-Hilton, Lake Missoula Wine Cellars, The Badlandar (Cd Release Party for Montana Untapped Radio Contest), and at the Wilma Theater where thousands of big name artists such as Bright Eyes, and David Allen Coe have set foot on the stage in Missoula Montana. The Badlandar every Tuesday night was a favorite spot for the 22 year old artist until she graduated from the University of Montana and moved to Tennessee. Sara plays with various local artists and is seen to enjoy diverse styles of music while collaborating and co-writing with new musicians. She is available for recording, demo work, and always looking for shows and new opportunities to play with other musicians. Horvath has shared the microphone where Vince Gill recorded many of his songs in Nashville, and she is looking for a good record deal or just a really great manager and web promoter/marketer!
Horvath placed as a top ten finalist for Miss Montana 2008. She has enjoyed this experience, and highly recommends participating in this scholarship program. She was able to perform her original song entitled, "Dream Come True", on a beautiful grand piano for over a thousand people! Horvath also enjoyed the once in a lifetime dream of singing in front of 42,000 people with Kenny Chesney at Sturgis in June of 2008. Horvath's 5 song demo is available and free if you would like one. Just send a message to her on myspace and she will get it to you. Thanks for listening and please tell your friends if you like what you hear!
