SARAH with SECRETS are a melodic rock / powerpop act from Oslo, Norway. The band formed in May 2008 consisting of members from Cantamé, Strikebound and Tocksick Dandruff. SARAH with SECRETS started out as a project between the gifted singer/songwriter Sarah Calvert and rock guitarist Fredrick Hauan at a time when Sarah wanted to do something different and play rock music, unlike her former constellation which was more of an acoustic pop band.
As soon as Fredrick got a hold of Cantamé's record, he was so impressed with Sarah's talent that he wanted to collaborate with her, and he truly believed in her music career. They stumbled upon the gifted drummer of the funk band Tocksick Dandruff, David C. Smith, and he was really excited about joining the project. The trio had become a band and they also expanded by adding guitarist Aleksander Bern, so Fredrick now could handle the bass. The four-piece decided right away that they wouldn't be associated with just another band, or just another tribute band for that matter, so they began writing their own material at an early stage trying to figure out their own catchy and melodic rock sound.
After a few weeks they had written a bunch of songs, and the guys were ready to hit the stage. The band played some outstanding shows during the summer and fall of 2008, and gained much attention. People were thrilled and the band decided to hit the professional and award winning studio, LivingRoom Studios, in order to record a demo. The recording sessions went from being demo samples to full production recordings, and SARAH with SECRETS are still working on the CD. In January 2009 they decided to add an extra guitarist, Jose Segovia, to the line-up. In March 2009 Jose decides to leave the band due to personal reasons, so as we speak the remaining members are looking for a new rhythm guitarist.
