Montreal artist, Sara Johnston, got her professional musical start singing on Jean Leloup's hit single, "I Lost My Baby" in 1996 and she hasn't looked back since. She soon after joined the famed collective, Bran Van 3000, and went on to tour the world in support of the band's Juno winning 1997 debut release, Glee, and their acclaimed follow-up 2001 album, Discosis.
After Bran Van decided to part ways, Sara turned her attention to her own song writing and began composing and producing the songs that would form the foundation of her upcoming debut solo album, Sleeper, to be released in Canada June 2008. An accomplished vocalist as well as multi-instrumentalist, Sara has appeared on projects by other artists including Bermudian-born Mishka, Montreal singer songwriter Chris Velan and New Zealand duo Flight of the Conchords. She recently co-produced Bran Van 3000's return album Rosé and is currently writing the material for her second solo album, which she plans to release early 2009. Sara will be performing upcoming dates for the much-awaited Sleeper throughout 2008.
