   About Sara Littlefield
"Sara Littlefield has a real individual voice on the tenor, her sound is packed with warmth and soulfulness in the real sense, but with all of the daring and unexpected turn of phrase of any great improviser." - Julian Siegel.

"Sara plays her father's music with evident resect and affection - great motivations for any artist. Her charm makes contact with listeners both when she solos and introduces numbers. A promising band playing accessible, melodic music."-Wakefield Jazz, Chris De Saram.

"In a proliferation of female saxophonists Sara Littlefield is another one with a bright future. She has a light flexible sound with a swinging feel."- Grimsby Jazz.

“Mix a great technique with inventive soloing, warm personality and an attractive, varied repertoire - and you have Sara Littlefield. We loved her in Scarborough!” 20.07.08 Mike Gordon, Scarborough Jazz.

This quartet was formed in Sept 06 to celebrate to music of Sara’s late father, the great pianist and composer, Ron Littlefield. The tunes are original compositions written in an impressionistic vein ranging from lilting waltzes with angular melodies to richly harmonic pieces with unexpected resolutions.
Sara had a musical upbringing and was greatly influenced by her father. She studied tenor saxophone at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Don Rendell and also had lessons with Tim Garland, Tim Whitehead and Julian Siegel. When living in the south she performed in many of the London venues and clubs and also across the whole region. She has played at Jazz festivals such as Ealing and Manchester and often performed with her father. They both help set up the club “Jagz” in Ascot, Berkshire, forming the house band as well as promoting.
She is greatly inspired by players like Dewey Redman, Keith Jarrett, Joe Lovano, Sonny Rollins ,Steve Swallow,Monk, Astor Piazzolla, Joe Henderson and so on and so on.....

I enjoyed Sunday's gig too, in spite of my nerves. Corey says people want to do it again. I'm tempted.

Hi again Sara,
Glad you were sorted for last light. I have been listening to your tracks and love Jaded Eye Jonty; lovely poignant stuff, and also the other swinging tracks. I do hope we can get together at some stage!

Jim: Hey! That’s great Kath.
Kath: It is, isn’t it?
Jim: Cor!
Kath: Ooh, I’ve cut a rose.
Jim: Cor! Just the job, eh? … lovely …
What a lovely smell … cor! Reminds me of an old song Kath.
Kath: It does?
Jim: Umh.
Kath: Well sing it then.
Jim: You are my garden of roses,
Kissed by the morning dew,
Each little flower that opens,
Fortunes I find in you …

“Oh! Yes, a Kangaroo, well of course … um … that’s a nice … nice animal. If you have got a young one and you bring him up as you want him to … er … I like a kangaroo because they can stand up and they can walk about and that and they can pick the grass off … er … their hands and they’ll take a bit of bread and bread and butter and that and eat it, and … er … a kangaroo can pick up a cup off the table and drink out of it and things like that. They are more intelligent if you like to adapt them and learn them. Of course they knows nothing, but a monkey I could never make nothing of. If you start to do anything … er … with a monkey, if you start to take … um … a magneto to pieces or anything like that there’s a … that monkey … er … he’ll want some of your parts what you got, and he’ll sneak them when your back’s turned or snatch them from you … er… a monkey’s no good, not to do anything. You couldn’t rely on him, he’d put you miles behind …”

Why this decision, so perverse ?
Why is his brain so very slack ?
He needs a doctor, and a nurse,
To put him on a level track.
...............
What kind of man , what man of art ,
Would come to thoughts so dark , so black ?
In stead of Microsoft , so smart ,
Would plan to buy an " Apple Mac " ??

Ronaldo

I asume you're being facetious,
Or your faculties begin to lack;
Making do with microsoft,
When you could have an apple Mac.

Yontle

How dare you sir, how dare you scoff,
You..ve gone too far,you..ve got the sack,
How dare you criticise my gear, and,
Compare it to your Apple Jack....(I mean Mac)

Your choice to me dont seem so smart.
It..s really rather cheesy.
Your gear sounds like some apple tart,
My stuff will beat yours, easy.

So there..

Ronaldo
---
I can’t get on the internet,
The connection is so slow.
My Microsoft computer
Fills my life with woe.

I’ve had it for too long now;
I cannot send it back.
I wish I’d had the foresight
To buy an Apple Mac
