WHO IS 'SARA MOON'?

Bijan (Sara Moon) was born in Teheran and left his home county to study medicine in Germany at the request of his father. He returned to his home country with his new-found skills but his love of art was not to be denied, and in 1974 he returned to Germany to paint, signing his work "Sara Moon" Much more of Bijan's history can be found at the Official Sara Moon Web site - www.sara-moon.com

    Thank you for adding me as a friend. We have a large 'Lisa' print on our wall which is admired by everyone who sees it. I was unaware of other Sara Moon pictures, now I am a fan for life.

    Hello John... you know, I am really impressed by all the people as well as yourself who fell in love then and now with the Sara Moon art. A friend of mine had a few of the pictures in original 1970's frames that I would admire each time I visited his home. Recently I asked him if he knew the artist or anything about the pictures and he said No. He asked me if I would be interested in the pictures and gave them to me as quick as I said Yes! They are gorgeous and @ this point I am quite interested in buying an original 'Lisa' to start off my new collection. Please continue updating your info as well as promoting your own artwork for it is amazing

    John, I love the work you have done on this page. I have over 25 Sara Moon prints, ten of which I recieved as a gift in the 70s. Then I was hooked. I treasure them all. The children on my street call my home the Sara Moon house because they are on every wall. I love Bijon's art, wish I had more of it.

    I have enjoyed Sara Moon/Bijan's work since the 70's. I am pleased to have prints and even some of his signed prints. They bring so much beauty and joy to my little gallery. I often refer to the webpages that show his work.

    I love the layout of Sara Moon on Myspace. It is just another great way to introduce the "outside world" to Sara Moon and our beloved Bijan.

    LOL... My mother finds it interesting. When I was little she put the Charlie drawing in my room, but I had a crazy dog who one day jumped on my bed took the frame and pic down and destroyed it. I now have the Elaine above my bed. I am looking every once in awhile to see if anyone on Ebay is selling a Sara. I think that would be awesome to have... Sara by Sara Moon in Sara Moon's house... LOL Cooky but cute {:o)

    Dear Bijan,
    I wanted you to know that I have always appreciated your art. The first girl I fell in love with was Hippy Girl at age 15.
    It was more than a passing crush, I looked for her for most of my life. I then fell in love with Rocker Girl, German Girl, Girl with leaf, Tristesse and Gina. My daydreams were filled with thier faces and my dreams at night were visited by the likes of Linda and Monique. When I met my wife, she had all the qualitys that my imagination had given to my first loves. She had the beauty Of Sara, the open mind of hippy, the attitude of Rocker, the inocense of Tristesse, the passion of Gina and all the seductiveness of Monique. I was lucky to find my wife and even luckier that she like me too, But it was you that helped me to know what I was looking for. The wonderfull use of negative space in your art allowed me to fill in the rest with my imagination.
    Thank you and bless you Bijan, for 30 years of beauty that still graces my walls.

    It is lovely to see these pictures appearing once again. I can remember them from when I was much younger. They were everywhere and together with the many Russell Flint prints that were in the art shops then, form a very powerful image and memory in my mind. Some artists tried to imitate the style but few ever got close to the amazing and beautiful technique of Sara Moon. Thanks to all who are working so hard to make these wondeful pictures available again. Ady

    Hello my new friend and thank you for the add! I am so excited to find someone who has the knowledge you do about my beloved Sara Moon prints. I have eight prints in very good condition; a large (about 2ft wide by 3ft long) Hippy Girl, Catherine (V), Rebecca, Claudia, Girl with a M-Leaf, Beauty in the Rain, Romantic and Yvette all of which are 16 X20 prints. I had a blue tinted girl print which was destroyed when I moved, and unfortunately I don't remember the name of the print. I would love to find more and have searched the web from art galleries to E-bay, and made yard sale searches one of my hobbies. Any idea how I might acquire others I don't have. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your work in putting this page together. Be well and many blessings to you and yours, Lesa
