Sara Valenzuelas captivating solo album Lado Este, released in late 2005 by Nacional Records, continues to receive great reviews as more and more critics and fans discover her rich sound. Valenzuela, the former lead singer of Mexicos popular alternative-pop act La Dosis, is joined by prominent musicians such as Marc Ribot (Elvis Costello; Tom Waits) and Melvin Gibbs (Rollins Band; Marisa Monte).
Lado Este (East Side), which was produced by Dougie Bowne (Iggy Pop, Cibo Matto, Arto Lindsay), showcases the engaging blend of Valenzuelas sultry vocals and eclectic melodies.
