Love music, just about any kind, hanging out with friends, reading just about anything I can get my hands on, love surfing the web for new and exciting things to do. I like to watch TV, reality TV shows make me laugh but there are nonreality TV shows I love too. Patrick Dempsey anyone? Most of my time is spent working or studying but I do love to have fun in my down time.
Music
I love all types of music. Some of my favorites are Hoobastank, Daughtry, Pink, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, Carrie Underwood, Elliott Yamin and John Mayer. There are many others but these are just a few.
Movies
I love watching movies! Lately I've enjoyed the Harry Potter movies, The Bourne Series, okay, anything with my baby Matt Damon, anything with Julia Roberts and Reese Witherspoon, Knocked Up, The Notebook, and fun classic movies from the 80s.
Television
I love TV a little TOO much. On my must watch list are Grey's Anatomy, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Desperate Housewives, October Road, Project Runway, Top Design, Top Chef, Shear Genius, The Amazing Race, American Idol, Big Brother, Real Housewives of Orange County, The Hills, The Real World, Deadliest Catch, and many others.
Books
Some of my favorite authors are John Grisham, James Patterson, and Nicholas Sparks.

Heroes
My heroes are anybody who came from nothing and made something of themselves, the men and women who are fighting overseas for us, the many nurses who save lives and change lives daily, and Britney Spears.
Okay, I was kidding about Britney Spears. She's trash.

I am a 36 y/o mother, friend, and college student. I started college 3 years ago to fulfill my dream of being a nurse. In August of 2008 I will begin my clinicals, and embark on the last leg of my nursing education. In May of 2010 I will graduate, take my boards in June of 2010 and hopefully pass so that I can become a Registered Nurse. I will then continue my schooling from there, take a few more classes in hopes to receive my Bachelor's Degree or BSN. After that----I"m DONE with school! I have a 14 y/o daughter who is just starting high school this fall. She keeps me busy and I love her more than she will ever know. My bestest friend Jax moved in with me in May of 2005 so that she could help take care of my daughter and help me with the bills. I owe my life to her as well as the inspiration to go back to college in the first place. We have a nice little life, me going to college and her running my daughter endless places and running the house. Throughout this whole process I have found myself and who I was meant to be, a nurse. Not just any kind of nurse, I want to be a Labor and Delivery nurse, or a NICU or Peds nurse. I found out early on that children and babies are my passion, and might just fill the hole I have because I never had other children :) In the last three years I have found the person I was meant to be and as an added bonus I found out I'm sorta smart! :) I've had 3 consecutive semesters with a 4.0 and for that I'm proud that this old lady can still use her brain! This is merely chapter 3 in my life, with chapter 4 happening when my daughter goes to college. After I get my RN and she moves away, I too will move away and find greener pastures. I cannot wait to see what lies ahead for me and you can bet I'll enjoy the ride!
LPN... I'm all about the baby steps! LOL Actually, its more about taking what I'm learning a little at a time and being comfortable applying it without an instructor over my shoulder. I'll work for 2-3 years and then start working on my RN. Besides, I'm too broke to spend another year in school! :)
Four weeks of Nutrition, two weeks of Mental Health, one week of Personal Vocational Relationships (or as I like to call it: Management 101), then a two week break... then four weeks of T: Clinical / W: Clinical / Th: Nursing III. Pinning is the last week of July. How much do you have to go? How you holding up?
