   About Sardina
Formed in the winter of 93 out of the ashes of the Gerunds. Following their demise, PJ Christie, Michelle Marchessault and LonPaul Ellrich played with a number of people to try to find some chemistry, but it wasn't until playing with Marty Green, a high school friend of PJ's and fellow art school student of Michelle, that we hit upon a Farmula of cool music and creativity. We wrote a lot of songs and played a lot of shows until Marty left the band shortly before their first full length record. The band continued on writing and touring with Greg Backus, Bill Cameron, and for a brief period the late Fred Goldfine, but never recorded a proper follow up. We tried.- PJ Christie.

Sardina - I still spin "Presents" around the house at least once a month. What a great band you were. The only act I've ever had in my clubs three consecutive nights (Fayetteville years ago). Sorry to hear the news of LonPaul. Hope the rest of you are doing well at whatever you're doing (me, I'm doing the same thing now except in Little Rock, AR). Hey Michelle, sorry we never got to hang out that night in Chicago. How about putting "I'll Be Around" or "Hey" on here so I can add to my profile. Or even better - reunion show with Stranded at the Drive In!! ha ha.

Due to having many parts there is no unity,
There is not anything without parts.
Further, without one, there is not many.
Also, without existence there is no non-existence.

I just put your CD on at the office yesterday, thought I'd see if you were on here - and here you are. I miss seeing you guys in Bloomington! I still have a few of the 7"s, they're great.

The songs above are outtakes and live stuff. Sardina is best represented by our album Presents from 1996, except that everyone in the band hates it for one reason or another. We've recently retrieved the master tapes from our label and are planning a newly remixed version without the gated reverbs et. al. and with an hour of bonus material. Does anybody have a 2" machine we can use for a few hours?
