    You got it on avoiding the pesky side-effects. But, I'm more a Gilmour fan, or Gilmour and Waters together. I have a much harder time listening to Waters' solo stuff. Of course, Scott hates Gilmour and thinks Syd is great, but that seems to mostly be due to continuing with the Pink Floyd name from 1987-1994.
