SARIOLA is a Female Fronted Angelic Blast Metal Institution founded in Germany. The music of SARIOLA is a very unique mixture between blast beat driven Black Metal, ice-cold riffs, clear-female-voice, interxmixed with Symphonic Angelic Metal, a big portion of Gothic Metal, spiced by Industrial sounds and flavoured by Impressionism and Classic music.
SARIOLA's first release "Sphere of Thousand Sunsets", a masterpiece of Dark Metal, got a lot positive reactions of international press and brought the band a solid fan base all over the world. Following by live concerts and open air festivals with bands like [:SITD:], Ensiferum, Psyche, Pro Pain, Gods Army, Hail of Bullets, SARIOLA offered a enthralling live performance on the stages of Europe.
The future for SARIOLA is very promising: With a new front woman LORELEY Mrs V. von Rhein and her strong, powerful voice, which can be heard soon on the new album (release: mid 2010), the band got to the next level. The new magnum opus with the working title "From The Dismal Sariola" is even faster and darker, on the other side has a lot of Gothic charm. Stay tuned to new samples and live activities of one of the most interesting and promising bands of our time.

DEUTSCH
Die Bandgeschichte von Sariola beginnt im Jahre 2005. Sieben Jahre zuvor, beschloss der Mastermind von Sariola, E. Konny, dass seine Band eine ziemlich ungewöhnliche musikalische Mischung aus Elementen von Black Metal und Stavanger Gothic Metal spielen wird. Dazu wurde sehr viel Wert auf Eigenständigkeit in Details gelegt. Was sich in den Inhalten der Lyrics sowie im Image äußert. Aufgrund Problemen mit der Besetzung, wurden die beiden Vorläuferbands von Sariola, Divina Nocturna / Spectra Selene und Salpherania aufgelöst.
Im Jahre 2005 formierte sich die Band neu – E. Konny (Ex-Divina Nocturna / Spectra Selene, Ex-Salpherania), Anagnorisis (P.A.D.L.O., Vredesbyrd) sowie
Silenia Tyrvenis (Ex-Salpherania).
Mit neuen, frischen Ideen und der Erfahrung aus der Vergangenheit, begann die Band mit den Aufnahmen zu dem Debüt-Album “Sphere Of Thousand Sunsets”. Im September 2006 war das Album fertig gestellt. Nach einigen Line-Up Wechseln, wurde SARIOLA durch Loreley (Vokal) AblaZ (Bass), Morgan Le Faye (Keys) und Morbid (Drums) berreichert.
Die Stillrichtung variiert zwischen Sympho Black Metal / Gothic Metal, mit
ausgeprägten Death Metal-, Thrash Metal Elementen. Sogar Songs im Genre Industrial wurden integrieret. Solch eine unterschiedliche musikalische Mixtur ist eine Folge der unterschiedlichsten Einflüsse der Band. Laut Sariola, wollte man Musik spielen, die nicht vorhersehbar wirkt und Zuhörer überrascht, um somit jede Eintönigkeit zu vermeiden.[Rockcor-Interview in der Ausgabe Rockcor 1 / 2007]
