Bio:

Sascha Dupont is a song-writer/pianist from Vejle, Denmark. At age 3 Sascha started playing the piano and soon thereafter was deemed a child prodigy in her town. It didn't take long for her passion in music to lead to song-writing and performing. She continued her studies at The Royal Music Academy in Aarhus and then moved to Copenhagen to develop her writing career. After acquiring a Publishing deal in London through Ignition Management, Sascha began co-writing with other writers as Tina Harris (Jamelia), Jamie Hartman (Natalie Imbruglia), and Sacha Skarbek (co-writer on "You're Beautiful", James Blunt). In May 2000, she launched her solo career with a self-titled debut album which quickly went gold selling over 25,000 copies which picked up rave reviews. Her record spawned two radio hit singles 'Saturday' and 'Visit My House' on the Denmark airwaves, and her song 'Happy Thoughts' won her the Grand Prize out of with 4,500 songwriters from around the world in the London based Unisong Songwriting Competition. Her second album Den Anden written in her native tongue (Danish) achieved impressive sales and rave reviews, also produced two more radio hit singles 'Passer På Dig' and 'Vidunderlige Du' on the Denmark airwaves. In 2005, Sascha released an instrumental new age album '12 Dreams' featuring her solo piano compositions and in 2006, Sascha began working with producer Soren Andersen (guitarist; Glenn Hughes, Mike Tramp, Marco Mendoza, Tommy Aldridge) on her latest album 'Promises', which upon release in February 2007, generated rave reviews across Denmark from various music magazines and local newspapers. While writing and recording in Denmark and London Sascha acquired such a reputation, that she was asked to be the musical director for Denmark's Television show 'ShowBizzerne' for the entire season which played a major role in her landing the piano playing co-host for the Danish version of the International Game Show 'Lyrics Board'. The national attention she acquired while performing with and accompanying artists such as Cliff Richard, Billie Myers, and Sarah Brightman quickly made her a beloved public personality throughout the country on Danish television and radio. In addition, Sascha was the musical director for the Danish Eurovision Song Contest in 2001 and for the Danish Broadway version of the musical Cabaret and comedy show Kometerne (The Comets). In 2004 Sascha was asked to be the musical director for the documentary 'Sascha Freya and Szhirley in Camp Eden' which filmed three Danish singers (Sascha being one of them) traveling to Iraq to play for the Danish troops. In spring 2006 she premiered her own successful TV show 'Around the Piano' on TV2 Charlie one of Denmark's home network TV stations.
