Beginning at age 3, this Danish / French / Turkish child prodigy started playing piano, and by age 10 she’d written her first song. Since then she has released several gold-selling albums, music directed television and stage shows, backed international megastars, and become a beloved personality throughout the country on Danish television and radio.
In May 2000, she launched her solo career with a self-titled debut album which quickly went gold and picked up passionate reviews. It spawned two radio hits, Saturday and Visit My House, but the melodic Happy Thoughts made its mark, winning her Unisong’s Grand Prize in competition with 4,500 songwriters from around the world.
Her second album Den Anden written in her native tongue (Danish) achieved impressive sales and rave reviews, and spun off two more radio hits.
In 2005 Sascha took a challenge and released an instrumental new age album showing her piano talents and the album got the title 12 Dreams.
Two years later in February 2007 Sascha’s latest album Promises was released. Working with her old time friend, producer and guitarist Soren Andersen, Sascha made what she thinks is her best album so far. The media agreed and gave her top reviews.
Sascha’s celebrity status is due in part to her regular television appearances. For eight years, she has been a pianist in the popular international game show Lyrics Board, often garnering 35% of the nation’s viewership. When not writing and recording, Sascha has enjoyed working as musical director on big shows such as Cabaret (the most successful Danish version ever) and Kometerne (The Comets), the smash hit sell-out with three of Denmark’s legendary comedians. In 2004 Sascha travelled to Iraq to play for the Danish troops; a trip that was filmed and made into a documentary broadcast in 2004. In spring 2006 she premiered her own successful TV show on TV2 Charlie, Around the Piano.
Sascha just moved from Copenhagen to Los Angeles to live out her dream and collaborate with other top-shelf songwriters.
