"Modern vocal jazz … an interdisciplinary very well trained voice, both in improvisation as well as in ethnic music forms and styles, fine phrasings and loads of creative finesse - everything based on atmospheric original compositions.
And since the accompanying quintet performs in an excellent way as well, the result is absolutely recommendable.(Volker Doberstein, Jazzpodium)
A subtle kind of music, somewhat melancholic, on the verge of disillusion, with a charm served by a misty, smoky voice. The music seems to grow out of the lyrics, and vice-versa. (Philippe Baron, RTBF musiq3)
… musicians of great ability and virtuosity, the concert came across as a sincere expression of the soul where technique enhanced the emotion inherent in the music rather than being an end in itself … fabulous stage presence; great vibe … very moving performance! (Vijay, Rave Magazine India)
KALIMA: Finest chamber jazz ...(Generalanzeiger Bonn)
Sascha's vocal style and compositions fluently move between jazz, free improvisation, imaginary folklore, cabaret songs and occasional flirts with contemporary music.
In January 2007 she has launched her first album featuring entirely her own compositions.
Travelling Light, performed as a sextet, is a collection of modern jazz songs. In her band she is backed by some of Luxembourg's finest musicians and great talents from Germany.
Sascha also works extensively as an actress and has received the "efp European Shooting Star" award for Luxembourg at the Berlin Film Festival in 2005.
In 2008 she first introduces her new trio project, KALIMA, with Anne Kaftan (ss, bcl) and pianist Laia Genc.
KALIMA is the proud winner of the 'Prix du public/Audience choice award' at the Tremplin JAZZ d'Avignon 2009. The debut album 'kalima' will be released on February 10, 2010.

Hello Sascha, Thanks so much for the Add–and your friendship. We enjoyed your music very much. Thanks for sharing it with all of us. It's a pleasure having you among our friends! We've added two blogs about Umano, plus four more new compositions, making ten on our page. We hope you and your friends visit us and enjoy our music, too. We wake up every morning and play the music of the new MySpace friends who have arrived at our site during the night. It occurred to us that these friends (you are among them) are almost universally positive, whether they be novices or legends, and without regard to their station in life or the country they occupy. Although it's not an original thought, it also occurred to us that we couldn’t hold a verbal conversation with most of these friends, but we have bridged that gap by expressing our art honestly with each other. We all have been filling the world with our music and art, in the hope that our messages of love and human understanding will have an impact on the world at large. What a gift and what an opportunity we have received from this technology! ♫♫♫ Thom & Lorry Gambino ♫♫♫ New York, New York
