Been writing songs since I was 16, mainly about personal experiences and personal opinions...Some years later met up with Sam, a brilliant pianist and with his sound added to my songs and ones we wrote together like 'Hello', my music seemed to take on a new meaning. We went on to perform about twice a week in a bar I owned called Juuls, and I found that we actually had people who would come especially to hear us, so that made me feel more comfortable and very happy!
This year, I joined Sellaband, a fantastic concept whereby artists can place their music online and people can either buy 'parts' (shares) in the artists eventual album, which the artist can then record in a professional studio.
This is achieved if the artist reaches the mark of $50,000.
Its a fantastic site, not only because I have a chance to maybe one day get a cd recorded professionally, but because I have met so many wonderful artists and believers (those who buy parts) there.
I was then invited to play at Paradisio, in Amsterdam, by Sellaband, and I performed a duet with Jake from Cubworld, the top artist on Sellaband. We sang my song 'melody' and it was a great experience.
Jake and his wife Mandy are brilliant people and because of Johan (One of the great people behind Sellaband) and Jake I had a great time and experience...
