I like learning new things.
Somewhat into cars.
I like DIY projects and dislike paying people a bunch of money to do something that I think I can do. (Except for making coffee, which I'm sure I'm capable of, but still would rather pay for someone at Starbucks to do.)
I read a lot of magazines. Some favorites are Time, Newsweek, Oprah, American Scientist, New Scientist, Scientific American Mind, Spectrum. Recently got into Harvard Business Review and Wired. Mental Floss is great too.
Music
Wide variety, even rap. I love to listen to the Deep House station on Winamp.
Movies
The Burbs, UHF, Shopgirl, The Big Lebowski, The World's Fastest Indian, The Green Mile, Waiting for Guffman, Touching the Void
Television
I don't have cable right now so I don't watch tv at home, but I like TLC and Discovery shows. And CSI, the original one.
Books
Not an avid reader, but when I do read, it's mostly nonfiction.
Some fiction that I've enjoyed: Shopgirl and The Pleasure of My Company (both by Steve Martin), lots of Stephen King, The Silence of the Lambs.
I love to buy technical/engineering books, but I don't ever finish them.
About me: I'm an engineer/engineering manager in Tulsa, OK. In my current job, I manage a group of engineers that design engine control panels and engine wire harnesses.
Who I'd like to meet: I don't know. People whose company I enjoy.
Hey Kellogg! How are you things going in Tulsa? OK? Get it? God, I slay me sometimes! We didn't get a chance to play pool on this last visit, so next time I'm gonna have to school you twice as hard! LOL!
