About me:
The girls of the Saskatoon Roller Derby League understand that if you really want to rock, you've got to do a whole lot of rollin'!
SRDL is Saskatchewan's first all girl Roller Derby League. In September of 2007 some of the flatland's fastest and finest females got together with a common vision...high speed high intensity ass kicking. The result was an old sport with a hardcore new vibe. Sexier, slicker, sleeker than ever before, Roller Derby will rock your world. Extreme skating, intense action and off the hook performances with all the energy and enthusiasm you'd expect from a bunch of girls living on the edge.
Their goal is to bring the excitement and exhilaration of this hot new extreme sport to the rest of their community. The girls continue to push the limits of sanity as they compete at the ultimate level of fast paced aggressive intensity. In your face, fast and furious SDRL is a catfight on wheels...what could be more fun?!?

Who I'd like to meet:
Roller Derby has arrived and we're looking for a few good girls! (Bad girls are welcome too!)
The League is growing quickly and we're seeking teams and team mates in preparation for 2008. If you're looking for a great way to stay in shape, make new friends and have a blast doing it, then Roller Derby is for you.
We offer:

• Experienced and patient coaches ready to teach you the skills you need to succeed with an emphasis on fun and safety!
• Extreme fun at a fast and furious pace!
We have skates and safety gear available for first time skaters to come out and give it a try with no commitment.
Contrary to popular belief, there is no hitting!
What you offer:
• You must be female and over 19 years of age. Other than that 2 feet and a heartbeat are all it takes to try on a pair of skates without brakes. We have all shapes and sizes on our teams. Many of us had never been on wheels before our first practice and we're still learning. If you decide it's for you, all you'll need is a pair of skates and some pads and you're on your way!.
Rollerskating is a fun and efficient cardio workout. According to medical research, rollerskating ranks in the top 3 activities that improve or maintain physical fitness and general well-being. The medical world has declared roller skating/blading better for your health than jogging. Skating at 20 MPH, a skater burns 6 calories per minute or 360 calories per hour!
