Sasson is a Seattle based ensemble that is taking klezmer/gypsy music to a new place: the Gypsy Samba, aka Sambaklez. The experience is like curried matzoh ball soup, that dish you always wanted to taste but could never find - until now. Founders Keith Judelman, Benjamin Gown, and Adam Kessler have created a vibrant project in which the sounds of Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean fly over the thumping rhythms of Brasil. Sasson brings the joyous celebration of life back to the dance hall with a passion that is undeniable and infectious. Whether in trio form or as the full eight piece ensemble, Sasson seamlessly flows across the world’s oceans and taps into that primal space in the human spirit that just wants to let loose because life is right now.
