Hakkımızda Satelites - new track - Empire State of Toronto ;)
So there's Theo (vocals/guitar), Allen (drums), and me, Arthur (guitar/vocals). We're Satelites... yes, with one L. We all met in highschool...a beautiful time of puberty, hormones, fashion misfires, and the initial stages of finding ones self. We definitely found ourselves in highschool, because that's when we all started really getting into Rock music. Rock music opened our minds to Music and we fell in love with Music because of it. Our style is Pop/Punk/Alternative Rock and we have heavy influence from our favorite band (and heroes) Blink-182. Their music inspired Theo and I to pick up a guitar, and our musical journey began from there. At first we would learn to play Blink-182 songs and other songs alike. However, we didn't start jamming until grade 10 or 11. With hopes of touring the world and being the biggest rock band, Theo started writing songs, but i didn't feel the same, all i wanted to do was jam and have fun.
>>FAST FORWARD to summer of '07. Theo wrote a song called "Melancholy Holly", and i fell in love with it right away. It wasn't until after he wrote that song did i think to myself...we have what it takes...we can actually do this. We were all growing up and facing
a big, new world. With 2 different college courses incomplete and down the drain, my fate almost seemed obvious. Try school again, or go with the only real passion i've ever had in life...the Arts. So we started making music, and a lot of the time, our pal Bryan would jam with us. We would make magic every time we jammed, and only reassuring that my decision was the right one. Meanwhile, Allens drums stayed at Theos house due to a lack of space at his own house.
>>FAST FORWARD to '08. We had filmed this cover of the Angels and Airwaves song "The Adventure", around Halloween of '07. For a reason that i cannot recollect, we decided to upload the cover on YouTube. Turns out a lot of people thought it was good, and we gained a fan base from that. Then, around summer time, Allen moved to a new house and the drums finally returned to their owner. We finally had a proper practice space and we finally started incorporating the drums to all the songs we were writing, and soon after SATELITES was born...
>>FAST FORWARD to apr '09. A guy named Fred emailed our hotmail account, saying he knew some of our friends and wanted to try out to be our bassist. He came by Allens house to jam, and not only did he fit the part, but he fit in with all of us, almost as if he's bEEN the bassist and our friend since forever, and now we are complete, WATCH OUT SUCKAZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha
