Hi. My name is Nan-cee. I'm the first born of a nuclear family with its fair share of cats and dogs. I was raised by a Trekkie father and a crafty & very artsy mother whom have influenced me to embrace my creativity and what lies in the great unknown. I have a happy-go-lucky sister who I consider as a best friend as much as a sibling. We were such happy children and lived within our playful imagination. We love to venture to the movies and rock out close range to the stage at concerts.
I am a charming eccentric that's always up for a wild n' crazy conversation. I'm not your average girl. I am very confident and speak my mind! I am supremely open-minded and can be sensibly upbeat. I see beauty in every day life and don't take things for granted. I am very much about simplicity and being logical. I am very considerate of others. I believe in treating anyone like I would be treated .. with respect. I love nothing more than to make you laugh to a keen remark or throw you off with a weird question.
I am what my sister would call an odd duck! I love to dance when I am all alone to bands like theSTART and Cut Copy. Most of my time is spent in front of the computer during the week where I like to play Scrabble or dabble a bit Photoshop. I barely watch TV, instead I like to read books about horror, personal essays, trashy romance, and various subjects on artistic concepts, psychology, and the paranormal. I am frugal and like to conserve .. I don't drive anywhere that is in walking distance. I collect rare and unlikely things like General Mills Cereal Monsters and girly childhood toys.
Music is the primary key in my existence. I love it when I get goosebumps when listening to a song or losing myself deep within the lyrics and harmony. I get a thrill out of discovering bands and artists that are so unknown and amazing. It's like they are my little secret and I find that more enthralling. Right now I am really digging the shoegazing genre .. The Mary Onettes has stolen my heart! That catergory of music is my ultimate favorite admist the others that I fancy .. electro-goth, punk, electropop, trip-hop, ambient, new wave, screamo, synth-pop, alt-rock, industrial, and death/thrash metal. However, my all-time favorite band would be IAMX!! Each track off their two albums is utterly brillant in harmony and the deep lyrics that I find myself singing along to almost unconsciously. Chris Corner is the ring leader of this band and was a founding member of Sneaker Pimps, whom I also hold dear. He ultimately is my MUSIC GOD. Beside my undying passion for music, I live for list-making and traveling (as long as I am not driving!) I believe everyone needs a little adventure in life .. so why not get in touch?!
I can be inspired by almost anything, whether it is good or bad. I make the best attempts to be creative in any and everything I do. I absolutely love to write, either it be something that struck a cord with me or every little detail of my day. I love things that are violent and gorey, but I'm overjoyed by girly and cutesty stuff .. if its a combination of the two EVEN BETTER! Thank you Lex =)
I honestly love fashion and the world of couture but I don't make myself out to be like anyone .. I'm cruising on my own default style. I'm not much on trends. Following the pack is pointless when it can easily change you when there is something new to attack.
I do not concern myself 'normal' and I like it that way! I say thoughts out loud that are quite off topic/weird and make you back away slowly. I am too honest for my own good. I change my mind quite frequently and I use my freedom of expression through art and insults. Writing all of this is more for me than for you actually. There are a lot of layers to being me, but I love who I have become!!

My Favorite Podcasts!
One of my biggest interests have to be podcasts which are unedited radio you can download to your mp3 players or listen to off your computer. I've been listening to various shows now for two years since I first bought my iPod mini. Now I have an video iPod and have expanded my search from just comedy to paranormal/horror. I am always looking for new podcasts to download .. I'm just glad my computer has enough hard drive to do it!
One of the things that rules my life beyond the air I breathe is music. I enjoy all kinds of genres .. my ears can bleed when projected to distorted screams or I can be inspired by ambient waves! Music is a big part of who I have am. There are so many perfect songs out there that I cling to and that express the deepest part of me, much like the song(s) on my profile right now! It's been there all my life in one form or another. .. I'm VERY BIG on musicals/music-themed movies (you know what I mean =P) and their soundtracks, like Labyrinth, Sweeney Todd, Across the Universe, Velvet Goldmine, Annie, Tommy, Hedwig & the Angry Inch, Xanadu, Moulin Rouge, the Wizard of Oz, Grease & Rocky Horror Picture Show. I love male vocals from certain bands like Tears for Fears, Type O Negative, Crossfade, Breaking Benjamin, Deadsy, Danzig/The Misfits, Burden Brothers, Billy Idol, Thornley, LO-PRO and Matchbox Twenty. You could say I have an audible attraction! I listen to some bands that people would detest and would sooner crucify me with their own slandering remarks if mentioned, but I can care less .. I'm not even going to prove you right or wrong because it's your personal opinion. I say if you feel something within a song or a certain band then don't jump of the cliff when other's make it some kind of a sin to even let it be audible in their presence. I really don't like how most people put bands down because of labels, their following or that they sold out. They didn't make that music for you .. so turn it off and MOVE ON!!

OK I'm done partying for a while LOL Once a year is good enough for me! It has been a crazy weekend I wish you were here to have enjoyed it with me =/ We went out to the bar for my b-day bumped into some friends and partied all night, then I had a hard time draging my ass out of bed to go to Cruefest yesterday OMG Cruefest was KILLER!!!! Well most parts of it... I hate drunk ass people. Seriously I will never understand why people go to a concert and get so fucked up they won't even remember the show. I'm not sure how it is there but dude they are disgusting here, they puke and piss right next to you. Then this chick kept trying to make out with me, its like dude I'm not a stripper or the pole ok get off me bitch so that kind of pissed me off. We missed part of Traped because of the whole security thing taking so long =/ Sixx AM, Buckchery, and Papa Roach, were awesome, oh I met the singer from Sixx AM he was walking around the crowd =P that was pretty sweet ^_^ Oh and I think I have a permanent black band around my wrist from the friendship bracelet baking on me LOL. Dude I miss you!!!! when are you going to be on Yahoo? or here? Oh and incase I didn't say it today I Love you!!!!!!!!!!! ^. ^
