Satinwood began in the early 1980's and performed
frequently as a five piece band throughout
Rhode Island for three years.
After a hiatus and moving to northern Connecticut,
Paul and Melanie worked with several cellists,
quickly garnering a respectable following
in the dinner concert circuit.
In the late 90's, they re-expanded the band to include bass and drums
and in 2000 produced their first Legendary Song Series™
tribute to Harry Chapin,
joined by two of Harry's former band mates, "Big John" Wallace and Howard Fields.
The show held in East Windsor CT attracted over 500 fans.
Since then, Satinwood has developed 3 distinct performances:
Folk Rock Show™
- 7 piece acoustic and pop classics
The Legendary Songs of™:
Croce & Lightfoot
-
7 piece ensemble with guest guitarist Jeff Tisdel
The Legendary Songs
of™: Harry Chapin -
