November 10th, 1985 saw a new life joining the Earth. When reaching 6 Helen was herself to decide and come to a musical school where she signed up to study violin. Her teachers were amazed and pleased with a forceful student who was down to mastering accordion, piano and vocal at the same time. The young singer wouldn’t miss a concert to perform in her native city. At the age of 15 she started performing all over Ukraine and abroad. She made it to her first significant success as a member of duo “Evita”, which won the first award of Black Sea Festival. Juvenile Satory Seine was far from getting satisfied by stage contests and folk festivals. She became the voice of “Baza-R” rock band. And here you go down the winding road of club tours and rock festivals. Her charismatic voice was attracting people, the band was gaining popularity. “Baza-R” songs went on the air in radio broadcasts, fans were lining up to get an autograph.
In 2002 Satory Seine left for Kiev. She joined violin classes at Glier High Music School, on the 3rd year of study she switched to vocal. She wouldn’t stop to pursue rock music, she was singing with Kiev’s “Scream” band at the time.
Unhappy love was mirrored in her performance. Her growl and scream vocals in her last rock band “Etwas Unders” won her recognition of the most demoniac female voice in the underground circles. Her vocal melodies were full of despair and desolation. It was as though she was living through her heart-breaking passions on stage. “Etwas Unders” was on wheels to cross the country back and forth, the band was awarded by “Taras Bulba” rock festival. Helen was praised separately as country’s best female rock singer. In 2006 “Etwas Unders” won Ukrainian selection of “The Global Battle of the Bands” to go performing at the world finals in London. At the same time Satorie Seine joins TOL band guitarist Serhiy Liubinsky to record a dark industrial trip-hop album.
In 2007 saw a new twist of Satory’s creative career. The singer found a new inspiration to radically change image and style. In April a new Ukrainian house-singer debuted at one of Kiev’s night clubs, Satory Seine started performing in English.
Satory Seine is a unique event in modern show business. This seemingly fragile girl easily conquered hearts of club underground aficionados, as well as of those who admire light house tunes. Furthermore, Satory introduced electronic dance music to a wider stage. Her adversely out of line English lyrics song opened “Songs of the Year” contest in Ukraina Palace, “Zolotaya Sharmanka Festival” awarded her the year’s breakthrough title. At the same time, dance versions of Satory’s songs drive crazy clubbers on numerous European dance floors. Her hits are regularly put on the air by Kiss FM and DJ FM radio stations. As Satory herself says she never follows showbiz trends either in music or in style. Her way is a reflection of her music likings, not the worn-out suit of ready to use gimmicks. Her emotion and openness wins over any listener, be it a restricted access night club or a huge outdoor concert.
2007
Interest in philosophy of the East prompted the singer to broaden her music outlook. Timely enough she met DJ Kex and together they recorded her first progressive vocal style track – a piece called «Sparkle Of Truth». In Kiev’s Patipa club she performs with the Dutch DJ star Eddy Good. Satory’s charming voice persuaded DJ Sender to propose her to perform at UDMA Awards that honors best Ukrainian dance music artists. Satory performed «Sparkle Of Truth» there, also for the first time general public was able to appreciate a piece «Gentle Motive», created jointly with Russian DJ Noiz. The appearance impressed DJ Sender and he proposed Satory a joint live performance at TopDJ Awards ceremony. That’s when Satory’s live improvisation added a new feature to already known and popular hit “Kiss You”. DJ Noiz and Satory then record joint track «Beautiful Story». Uncompromised deep groove of the song in minimal electro style came to reign on underground dance floors. Their next joint effort – track «Vanity Of Vanities» involves electro, minimal and progressive to underline emptiness of human life through a colorful kaleidoscope of sounds.
Cooperation with another sound master – Drive Dealers – brought to life dance–floor-busters «Addiction», «Space Migrator» and «We Can Talk». Simultaneously Satoy Seine works with 2Special project, which had as an outcome two interesting and successful tracks «One Love» and «Dance On The Cloud». The latter was on top positions of Tendance hit parade at Kiss FM for several straight weeks. «Dance On The Cloud» is put on the web, surfers from all over the world download it actively. «Dance On The Cloud» is a hit in Moscow, Paris, Mexico and some other capitals. This song makes Satory known to the world.
Electronic music aficionados started to more then appreciate her enchanting vocal. Best clubs from then lined up to invite Satory Seine, her voice could be heard at Decadance (Kiev), Arena (Kiev), Barsky (Kiev), Forsage (Kiev), Crowbar (Zaporzhzhya), Misto (Kharkov), Iceberg (Lugansk), Volcano (Horlovka). Prestigious women’s magazine “Elle” proposed her a joint music fashion project, she was on the magazine’s November pages. During the celebration of Kiss FM 5th birthday DJ Sender and Satory Seine were performing right after British guests Chicane project. In the end of the year of 2007 they both presented a song “I love you” during “Zolotaya Sharmanka” Awards ceremony at Ukraina palace, this concert was broadcast by 1+1 TV Channel to an audience of millions. This opened a new chapter of Satory seine music career putting her on a wider stage.
2008
DJ Noiz and Satory Seine present to their fans cover version of ABBA’s “Happy New Year”. Their New Year tour significantly increased singer’s army of admirers. In addition to this resident of “Arena” club DJ Romantic proposed Satory to produce in cooperation with Andi Vax a track “Next Kiss”. Satory is invited to perform her hit “I love you” at the Songs of the Year concert. The duo was again reigning the main concert stage of the country – Palace Ukraina. Sender and Satory Seine were first performers, opening the concert, again broadcast to millions of viewers.
Drive Dealers and Satory Seine in February produce a piece “April”. They also present to the public her joint work “Space Migrator” at a glamorous DJMag Start Party, Satory was performing before Sebasstien Leger. Her first video clip “Gentle Motive” was produced and placed to rotate on MTV-Ukraine. At this time maxi-single with the same name was issued with remixes from Muttonheads, Drive Dealers, Jim Pavloff, Treat Brothers, Stranger, Overset, N-Code, R-Tem, Proff. DJ Tiesto in his radio broadcast presents her track “Space migrator” to a worldwide audience.
2009.
Satory started the year with creative vigor. In the beginning of January French producer and DJ Muttonheads who did one of the remixes in “Gentle Motive” proposed joint cooperation to her. That’s how «Lazy girl» track was born. Satory Seine also performs at DJ FM Arena Club parties. Success of “Lazy girl” prompted Muttonheas to launch one more hit with Satory Seine named “Love has no name”. 2Special were also longing for singer’s enchanting vocal and a new outcome of joint efforts emerged, track «No need to rush» lost no moment to climb the hights of dance radio broadcasts. Also Satory Seine is now working with Vincent Rio to create minimal-tech progressive item called “Side by Side”. And a debut album is about to emerge.
