NEWS: SATTASKYS WILL NO LONGER BE DOING SHOWS! DAVE IS MOVING TO NC TAKING A NEW JOB. FOLLOW THE BAND MEMBERS INDIVIDUALLY BY ADDING THEM BELOW. THANKS FOR THE GOOD RUN WE HAD! IT WAS ALOT OF FUN! YOU CAN STILL GET THE EP ON ITUNES. HOOK IT UP!
Sattaskys melds an original rock tone with deep-seated reggae vibes. The quartet is based out of Harrisonburg, VA, where they first met and began to create a sound that is unique and leaves you wanting more.
Bob Marley said it best when he sang “One good thing about music is when it hits, you feel no pain.” Sattaskys brings a style that hits its listeners. All ages show up to a Sattaskys show, proving that they have produced a tone that brings no pain. From the head bangers, to jazz lovers, to the reggae roots fans, Sattaskys produced a sound everyone loves.
Singer and songwriter David Herring classifies the lyrics as “socio-political with moral overtones.” Reggae music is a people music, and Sattaskys does not fail to make music that people will identify with. Their hit song “Two Seventy Five” discusses the struggle of single parents working low income jobs. Their song “Trapped” deals with the situation of our country, and how it’s easy to get trapped in unrealistic thinking.
The rest of the band brings a blend of backgrounds and styles that make Sattaskys stand out with their enticing sound. Daniel Herring brings his surf rock influence on guitar that creates a groovy rhythm that sucks in the listeners. Josh Nunez brings a Spanish influence to the table and creates bass lines that are memorable and powerful. Chantina Crawford is well-educated in drumming, and the beats she creates hype the crowd and embraces the listeners. Add all of this together with David’s reggae style guitar playing, and you get Sattaskys.
Be sure to check out Sattaskys on iTunes, or pick up their EP at a show. See myspace.com/Sattaskys for more info!

Hey Sattaskys!
Thanks for the add!
Great stuff. Now That It's Over reminds me of the Spin Doctors. And I like the message of TwoSeventyFive. Good stuff. Stop by, have a listen and let me know what you think. Hope to see you back. Thanks again.
You guys are awesome. I absolutely love the bassist being Scuttle in "Kiss the Girl". You guys should definitely do a new CD, and maybe include some live songs (especially "Nobody Heard a Sound"). Ya'll have great stage presence. Keep it up!
