Influences
We're influenced by new and old artists of many differnet genres! The list of people and bands who have inspired us over the years is far too large to write down.
Who better to get the kids jumping off their feet, then three Canadian rockers who have been digging their way out of the basement and into your hearts.
The band formed in 2005 and quickly became inspired to hit the stage in a variety of clubs, venues, bars, skate parks, festivals and soon to be arenas!
The Saturday Night Heroes are Brandon J (Vocals/Guitar),Callum (Bass/Backing Vocal), and Ryan (Drums). Just four extremely good looking guys looking to make a Southern Ontario city, a little more tolerable.
Soon after releasing their debut E.P in 2005, they realized they had found a power… a power to change the face of music and the soul of the industry for years to come (or at least trying to take a little more suck out of the radio). The seven song EP released July 22nd 2005, was a tribute to the past 3 years of previous bands, ups and downs, twists and turns and every truck stop in between. At first listen you’ll enter a world of catchy guitar riffs, walking bass lines, sing-along vocals and technical drumming that will send shivers up your back.
Once inside the show, the smell of sweat, beer and red bulls are always predominant as this high-energy, fast paced band rocks the mic and leaves the crowd begging for more. The sights, the sounds, the glory of a live SNH show, are something that everyone needs to witness.
Since they've started, SNH has completed a national tour, hitting up every major (and many tiny) Canadian city along the way. In 2006 they hit up the east coast and continued to play all around Ontario and Quebec. With many small towns in between and just as many high hopes and big dreams. Between photo shoots and filmings, this hard working band continues to promote and support themselves independently with every free second they get.
They've just finished recording a brand new full length album, set for release this summer 2007! This will be followed up with a Canadian/US national tour. Recently they have been added onto some compilation albums and a documentary. They've also been filming for a DVD, which will be released in the future and have a brand new website to be launched with the new album.
These guys have a sound ranging from fast punk/rock, to a touch of ska and a handful of softer, more melodic tunes (and maybe even throw a half-cup of hip-hop in there). The list of artists and genres that have inspired the song writing over the years is far too big to write down… so let’s leave it up to you to have a listen and decide on the style for yourself!

"Husker New, anyone? Canadian foursome Uncut have a similarly fine way with brittle belligerence ("Let's just kill all the living" opines opener 'Darkhorse'), labyrinthe melodies (see the epic 'Out of Sight') and artfully fractious strums (particularly 'Chainfight'), making this a minor post-hardcore masterclass.
