Named and inspired by an 80s Saturday night horror series, the Saturday Nite Shockers are Chuck Fears (vocals), Pat Fears (guitar), Deathrock Steve (bass),
On Halloween night, 2003, the Saturday Nite Shockers, a local San Antonio band, played their first performance. Based on the crowd's blood curdling reaction to their dark lyrics and haunting sounds, the band decided to pursue their love for music by perform throughout Texas. In the summer of ‘07, the band finally stretched their rockin’ sounds into the darkest corners of California, Arizona, and Mexico.
SNS's first album, BLOODY MEMORIES contains 16 songs and
was recorded and mixed at Edit Point studios.
SNS is currently working on their second LP which should be out this winter. The new, and eternal line-up, just signed with Mad Splatter Records which is a branch off of Ryan Davis’ Hairball 8 Records. SNS and MadSplatter hope to release the new vampiric album across the United States and Mexico in the summer of 2009.
Stepping out of the darkest shadows of the nite and seething
for blood, Saturday Nite Shockers will continue to lure horror rockers with their romancing evil tunes!
