Satyros is a Black-Metal Project from Germany founded by Matthias and Andreas in August 2005. Even before the work for their first album began, André joined the group as a firm member. Hours of blood, toil, tears and sweat put forth eight songs of which seven are represented on their latest output. After having discarded the initial idea of playing “true Black Metal”, their style includes a variety of different influences of Metal but can still be regarded as Black Metal not at last because of its dark atmosphere.
2007 | The Debut & Making the Video

Although the songwriting-process had been finished at an early stage, it took Satyros about two years to finish their debut due to several problems with recording guitars, drums and vocals. Knowing that they needed enough time for experiments considering sound and vocal styles, the three guys decided to record their pieces at Andreas’ home and in the end, every member is satisfied with the result. The album contains seven songs including the intro and was except for the artwork, which has been created by a friend of the band in co-operation with Matthias, totally selfproduced.
The following months Satyros took care about reviews and the promotion of the album. Along the way, the band decided to make a video for the song ‘Loyal to the Crown of Frost’, which was released in autumn 2007. Like the album production, Satyros and another friend of the band took over the filming, recording and editing themselves.
2008 - '09 | The Second Album: Sound & Songwriting

Nearly at the same time, the group started writing songs for their second album, on which the style will be extended with further elements of extreme metal, inclining more to melodic Death Metal, but without losing their original, dark style.
In the meantime, the band has almost accomplished the songwriting for their second album and is preparing for the last settings before recording again.
