where do i begin... well for one 1976 was the best year ever for music hands down, i am still waiting (30 years now) for another year as good. you see back then all styles of music competed directly, so you had to be the best to make it to the top.....not like today when all stations are specialized which allows alot of mediocre and plain bad music to make it to the airwaves.=====back then it was called top 40 and in '76 there was beatles, supremes, rolling stones, beach boys, four seasons, elton john, jacksons, queen, aerosmith, john denver, glen campbell, donna summer, marvin gaye, stevie wonder, aretha franklin, etc etc etc all on the same station back to back====pop & rock; c & w; tejano; spanish international; easy listening; disco & dance.=======50's "venus"; 60's "love can make you happy"; 70's "benny & the jets"; 80's "our lips are sealed", 90's "dream"; 2000's "eres mi secreto".

Texas beaches need your help. Last week state Rep. Wayne Christian pulled a sly move in the legislature and created an exception to the Texas Open Beaches Act that allows him and his neighbors on Bolivar Peninsula to build houses on the PUBLIC BEACH.
