Interests

  • General

I'm cool. I've been spending alot of time on my computer writing and creating. I've got some things in the skillet and it's smellin' real good up in here.
  • Music

If it's negative or vexes my spirit, I can't. Mostly everything else, I'm open to. To all of you artists who are battling your demons, my prayers go out to you. Amy, DMX....come on, man....
  • Movies

I've got my favorites. Recently, I've watched a few. "Notorious". Ohh-kaaaaay- very much, a movie. I also saw "MILK", I really enjoyed that. I watched "PIneapple Express" and "Soul Man"- those guys in those movies made me laugh out loud, for real.
  • Television

Not so much, but when I do, it's such a guilty pleasure.
  • Books

Yes, I read alot. It cools me out. I often have 4 or 5 books going, picking up whichever one suits my mood at the time. A few of my favorites... *The Five Love Languages-Gary Chapman *The Merck Manual of Medical Information-Home Edition *His Parables- published ny "Integrity" *Webster's New World Dictionary & Thesaurus * Letter To My Daughter-Maya Angelou *The Music Lesson- Victor Wooten *Your Body's Many Cries For Water- F.Batmanghelidj, MD www.watercure.com * The best of Oprah's "What I know for sure" published by O magazine *Do You!- Russell Simmons w/ Chris Morrow *Being Black: zen and the art of living with fearlessness and grace - Angel Kyodo Williams. Check them all out....you won't regret it.
  • Heroes

**My parents. People who care for children and the elderly. Children who grow up in disadvantaged situations, who strive everyday to create better lives for themselves. May you be encouraged and empowered. And to those of you who don't quite have the strength or opportunity to do better right now, you are in my prayers and in God's care. No matter what, trust and believe this. **I admire everyone who gathers up all of the faith in themselves that they can, and they go out into this crazy, unpredictable world and create within it, a new world of positivity from their visions, beliefs and dreams despite the opposition and the drama. This takes courage. Namaste'.

Blurbs

About me:

I love my family, my friends, my work, my life. Everyday, I learn life lessons that make me a better person. I'm very proud to be of African descent and I'm blessed and proud to be female. I choose to live my life being open-minded. When you're closed-minded, you miss out on so much positive life experience. It's a pity and a shame to live life being an "a"- hole. ( To all you "a"-holes out there, take note.) As I get older, I realize more that I cannot be who or what people expect me to be. That I'm much more complex than I care to expose and that that's okay. I've got a really beautiful family, I've got the best friends ever and I love them all to pieces, XOXO. LOVE rinses through everything that I experience and I've gotta tell you people, all in all, I feel great and I'm having a ball!

Who I'd like to meet:

If I could travel back in time, I'd like to meet my ancestors as far back as I could go. I'd like to talk with them about their lives, their interests and aspirations. Then, I'd like to travel through the future and meet my future family, the children who have grown up and carried on with their lives and family tradition. I'd like to talk with them and see how their lives are different from life as I know it to be.
