Savage is a founding member of New Zealand’s most respected Hip Hop crew the Deceptikonz who stormed the New Zealand Top 10 charts at 2 in 2002 with their debut album Elimination. With this strong foundation in place it wasn't long before Savage's powerful voice was searching for solo endevours and the charismatic Samoan MC began working on his debut Solo project "Moonshine".
Released to critical and commercial acclaim in 2005, the debut album was produced by Platinum ATL producer Sol Messiah (Young Jeezy, Chamillionaire, Nappy Rootz, Dead Prez), multi Platinum producer AKON, and ATP from Beat Kamp Muzik. His first release was an immediate hit in Both New Zealand and Australia and Savage racked up a 1 chart position and Platinum certification for his hit "Swing", and then further channeled his big voice into another 1 position and Platinum certification for his hit "Moonshine" feat AKON.
"I have a big voice and an even bigger presence when I get on the MIC, if you weren't listening before I get on, you'll definately be listening and probably waving your hands by the time the MIC goes off" States Savage.
Impressed with his charisma and natural abilities a number of high profile US artists began soliciting international Remix requests from Savage for their releases, Remix's for AKon's Hit "Locked Up" and Mississipi native David Banner feat Lil Boosie Remix " Ain't Got Nothin", surfaced in late 2005.
The complete package, Savage took all these opportunities on board and relentlessly toured across NZ & Australia to solidify his brand of Samoan Down South Hip Hop, where he continued to find success. In the late part of 2005 Savage's hit single "Moonshine" was certified GOLD in Australia representing over 45,000 records sold, and was featured on international tour dates with Xzibit, Snoop Dogg, Bone Thugs N’ Harmony and Ice Cube.

Never one to rest on his laurels, Savage was blessed with the opportunity to feature his hit song "Swing" in the 1 Box office smash of 2007 "Knocked Up". The placement of "Swing" in “Knocked Up” was a piviotal point in the breakthrough comedy and the director loved it so much it was requested to be used in the opening menu of the DVD upon release.
Making sure that his presence is always felt Savage has transformed this success into a huge international opportunity and "Swing" is currently drawing fans from as far away as Puerto Rico and Japan.
In a remarkable case of a good hit record can come from anywhere in the world "Swing" is currently 14 on the US iTunes Hip Hop Top 100 and has debuted at 70 on Billboard Hot Digital 100.
